Senior Night took place at the Brentwood Track on Monday, April 21st. This year, the team had ten seniors to honor. They all have grown so much with the team, and it was a great way to say goodbye and good luck as they finish up their last season.
Sariah Bailey was honored during senior night with her mom, sister, and her best friend, Kyra Williams. You will most likely see Bailey competing the 4×100-meter relay and triple jump.
David Wallace was honored at senior night with his girlfriend and his friends. Wallace is usually seen throwing the discus and the shot put.
Jack O’Brien was honored by his parents on senior night. He is usually found throwing the discus at meets. O’Brien’s advice to the team is, “Come to practice.”
Nija Hayes was honored with her mom and her brothers during senior night. Hayes’ specialty event would be her jumps, but this season she has mostly been out due to injury. Next year Hayes may do cheer or track at Maryville University.
Josh Jackson was escorted by his mom and his sisters on senior night. At meets, he usually competes in shot put and added javelin to his skill set this year
Ariana Hewitt missed senior night but was still honored by the team. Hewitt is best known for her 100 and 200-meter races.
Jesse Lane III was honored with his mom and dad during senior night. You will see him running the 4×100, 4×200, and 200-meter relay. Lane plans to wrestle in college at Missouri Baptist University.
