Brentwood’s Top Movies of The Summer

Surely you’ve been to the movies before, but can you ever remember a time when you and your pals went to see the newest film on a hot summer day? Well if you have, then you will love this list. An advisory poll reveals that these are Brentwood High School’s top 5 movies of this past season.

Coming in at #1 is Toy Story 4, a Disney animated film which aired on June 21, 2019, for an hour and 40 minutes. Being the fourth in the series, it received a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 94% audience score. This movie also got a whopping total of thirteen votes from our students

The #2 slot goes to Spider-Man: Far From Home with a total of eleven votes. The super-hero flick first released on June 26, 2019. The movie is a fantasy/sci-fi film which aired for 2 hours and 9 minutes and earned a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes as well as a 95% audience score.

Next up is Us which was released on March 22, 2019. Us, made by the same director as Get Out, is a mystery/horror film that got voted a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 61% audience score. This movie was 2 hours and 1 minute long and our students at Brentwood chose to give it eight votes on the poll.

After that comes John Wick: Chapter 3, which landed #4 on our list of movies. It is considered a thriller movie which lasted 2 hours and 10 minutes. The movie first released on May 17, 2019, and received a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes and also an 87% audience scores. John Wick 3 came out with a total of five votes from Brentwood.

Coming in last on our list is Fast & Furious Hobbs and Shaw, which is a 2 hour and 16-minute long action movie that received a 67% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 88% audience score. This film came out on August 2, 2019, and received zero votes in our polls.
