Calling all artists! Due to the inability to appreciate student artwork during self-isolation, The Nest is putting on an art competition! Many students have begun to explore new creative talents during this uncertain time which means it’s time to use those skills! If there is a lot of involvement with this competition, The Nest will put on other art competitions in the future as well. Since this is the first competition, there will be no prompt or theme.
The rules are as follows:
- Create a beautiful piece of art (any method or style)
- Your art MUST be school appropriate or it won’t be featured
- DM a picture of the art to @brentwood.journalism on Instagram (if you don’t have Instagram, email a picture to [email protected])
- ART MUST BE SUBMITTED BY FRIDAY, APRIL 10th
How to win:
- Once all art is submitted, there will be a post on @brentwood.journalism on Instagram with all of the entries and a number for each entry.
- The entry number with the most COMMENTS wins!
- VOTING ENDS SUNDAY, APRIL 12th
The winner will receive a feature in the newspaper and a spot on the virtual plaque which will be made after the first competition. Anyone with art is encouraged to submit an entry into the competition. Go make some art!
