Local News

The St. Louis Zoo led a group of penguins out of their habitat to enjoy the snow on Wednesday. The Zoo does this for the penguin’s enrichment, and the walks are reportedly not planned in advance. To read more about the penguin’s fun adventure, go here.

National News

The South African variant of COVID-19, known as B.1.351, has been detected in two South Carolina adults. The variant does not make people any sicker, but COVID-19 vaccines may be less effective on it. Dr. Fauci has already stated that work is underway on a variation of the vaccine designed to target it. Mass demonstrations occurred Saturday in over 100 cities across Russia in support of Vladimir Putin’s political rival, Alexei Navalny.
