Sophomore Emelda Forney has a lot on her hands.

Playing soccer for BHS, a prominent photography role on the journalism staff, working as a lifeguard, playing the ukulele, and taking care of two dogs and a bunny keeps her busy, and she wouldn’t have it any other way. She is grateful for journalism, as she found her love for photography through it. She loves taking pictures, especially at football games. However, she claims she is very picky: “If I took 800 pictures, I would probably keep about 50.” This is great for BHS, as we get only the best results from her!

Over the summer, she works at the Brentwood Swim Club, where she serves food and is a certified lifeguard. This particular summer, she spent a week at Beaumont Scout Reservation and did all sorts of outdoor activities like riflery, hiking, and high ropes courses. Autumn, however, has her heart. She prefers the colder weather and loves the excitement of taking photos of her favorite sports. When she grows up, she wants to be a journalist. Everyone look out for Emelda Forney on the front page of the newspaper!
